Our last trip was such a great experience that we kept hearing the same question over and over:
"When are we going again?"
Well, the wait is over! Join us as we return to the cool turquoise waters, peaceful mountain villages, and beautiful landscapes of the Taurus Mountains.
After picking everyone up from our meeting points in Alanya, we'll make a breakfast stop about one hour into the journey at Çayarası, where you can choose from a traditional Turkish breakfast plate, omelette, or soup.
From there, we continue through the picturesque villages of the Taurus Mountains on our way to Ermenek. The scenery is so beautiful that you'll probably want to stop for photos more than once.
Our first destination is Ermenek Reservoir, one of Türkiye's largest artificial lakes. Famous for its stunning turquoise water, we'll board our boat for an unforgettable cruise toward Nadire Canyon. Towering cliffs, crystal-clear water, and complete tranquility make this one of the region's hidden gems.
If weather conditions allow, we'll also enjoy a swimming break, so don't forget your swimsuit and towel.
After the boat tour, we check into Marassa Konak Hotel, a beautifully restored 150-year-old traditional mansion. With its stone architecture, spacious garden, and peaceful atmosphere, it offers a truly authentic Ermenek experience.
Upon arrival, you'll be welcomed with a complimentary serving of Batırık, the region's famous traditional cold specialty.
Following a short rest, we'll explore the historic streets of Ermenek, visiting the Seljuk-era Tol Madrasa, Ulu Mosque, charming stone houses, and narrow streets full of history.
In the evening you'll have free time to relax at local cafés or wander through the historic town center.
After breakfast at the hotel, we head to Çatalbadem Village, about 30 minutes away.
The drive itself is spectacular, and we'll make a photo stop overlooking the turquoise lake before continuing to the village.
We'll then walk along a peaceful country road between gardens and fields until we reach a traditional garden house. Here you'll have the opportunity to harvest seasonal produce with your own hands—tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplants, and whatever else is ripe that day—and take it home with you.
Next, we visit one of Ermenek's most beloved places: Zeyve Market.
This is far more than an ordinary village market. Ice-cold spring water flows beneath centuries-old plane trees, creating a naturally cool oasis even during the hottest summer days. The sound of flowing water, the refreshing shade, and the lively local market have made Zeyve a favorite gathering place for both locals and travelers for generations.
You'll have free time to browse local products, enjoy lunch beside the stream, sip Turkish tea, or simply relax with your feet in the icy spring water while enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
After another wonderful day together, we begin our return journey and arrive back in Alanya in the evening.
