Have you ever heard of Van Breakfast? A breakfast only consists of natural products; Van honey, yoghurt cream, milk cream, butter, herbed cheese, plait cheese, kavut…

Van Cat House; you can caress and feed the good-swimmer and hunter cats conserved here.

Muradiye Waterfalls; waters sourced and poured from Tendürek Mountains, offer a different feast every season

İshakpaşa Palace; a shahzadah castle with 116 rooms. The castle was an architectural wonder in its era and is accepted as the pearl of the region with its grandness. As it is very close to Mount Ağrı, you can watch the highest mountain of Türkiye with its grandness as well.

Ahlat Seljukian Cemetery; an open air museum known to be the largest Turkish-Islamic graveyard in the world. The tomb stones reaching up to 3.5 metres and the carving on them are worth seeing.

Tatvan is a town settled on the Silk Road at the skirts of Mount Nemrut with its untouched natural beauties and historical artefacts.

A heaven on the earth, Nemrut Crater Lake, the largest crater lake in Türkiye, and the second largest in the world, amazes with its never-ending view.

Akdamar Island; the church and the structures around are historical masterpieces. The church is known to have been built in order to protect a piece of the Cross claimed to be stolen to İran and then brought to Van from Jerusalem in the 7th century. The architect of the church built under the order of King Gagik I between 915-921 was Manuel, also a monk,

Clothe taking the seasonal conditions into consideration. Choose comfortable shoes fitting daily walks. Museum card, chargers, ID cards and medications ( if any ) are  not to forget.
